Dependency confusion in Intel Corporation EquiTriton before f5ddbb5 allows local users to escalate privileges during package installation. The intel-requirements.txt file adds Intel's package index as an extra source while naming oneccl_bind_pt without a direct URL, allowing an untrusted same-name package to be selected. Exploitation requires a privileged user to perform the affected installation with passive interaction after an unprivileged local user makes a malicious package available.
