Sensitive data disclosure via unchecked GraphQL references
Published Mar 4, 2026 · Updated Mar 4, 2026
Authorization bypass in Pixel & Tonic Craft CMS before 4.17.0-beta.1 or 5.9.0-beta.1 allows remote attackers to read protected element data. Elements::parseRefs resolves an attacker-selected element and reads the named attribute through dynamic property access without applying canView authorization. Authenticated schema access exposes the flaw, while unauthenticated access requires an enabled Public Schema; disclosed data includes user attributes, private fields, and internal paths.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=>= 4.0.0-RC1, < 4.17.0-beta.1
