CVE-2026-2854Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated web-server crash via unchecked submit-url copy

Published Feb 20, 2026 · Updated Feb 20, 2026

Stack-based buffer overflow in D-Link DWR-M960 1.01.07 allows remote authenticated users to crash the web server via an HTTP POST. The /boafrm/formNtp handler's sub_4611CC function passes the request's submit-url value to strcpy, copying it into wizard_htm without checking the destination size. The save_apply parameter must reach the vulnerable branch; the published proof of concept demonstrates a web-server crash that leaves the device unreachable.
