Device crash via WiFiUDP memory exhaustion
Published Mar 15, 2026 · Updated Mar 15, 2026
Null pointer dereference in Tuya arduino-TuyaOpen before 1.2.1 allows remote attackers on the local network to crash affected devices via UDP. The WiFiUDP component exhausts available memory while processing a high volume of malicious UDP packets and then dereferences a null pointer. No authentication is required, but the attacker must share the device's local network; the resulting impact is a service-interrupting crash.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
