Authentication bypass in Rocket.Chat's ddp-streamer account service allows remote attackers to take over password-based accounts. loginViaUsername treats the Promise returned by validatePassword as a truthy validation result because the asynchronous call lacks await. Exploitation requires the Enterprise ddp-streamer microservice, a known or guessable username, and a password set on the target account.
