CVE-2026-28507Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Admin-level RCE via chained template inclusion

Published Mar 6, 2026 · Updated Mar 6, 2026

Remote code execution in Known before 1.6.4 allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to run commands via a crafted import. WordPress import handling accepts an attacker-controlled image URL after a substring-only domain check, writes its PHP response to a predictable temporary .tpl.php file, and the user-search template renderer permits ../ traversal that includes the file. Administrator access is required for the file-write stage, while any authenticated session can trigger command execution as the web server user when the Text plugin and remote URL streams are enabled.
