Authenticated code execution via unsandboxed Twig rendering
Published Jun 23, 2026 · Updated Jun 23, 2026
Server-side template injection in FOSSBilling before 0.8.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through crafted Twig templates. The string_render API passes the user-supplied _tpl value to renderString(), which invokes Twig createTemplate() without a sandbox and exposes API globals and the dependency injection container. Administrator access to a template-rendering feature is required when exploited alone; successful abuse permits database reads and writes and code execution as the web server process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
