CVE-2026-28473Network attack vector

Authenticated exec-approval bypass via /approve command

Published Mar 5, 2026 · Updated Mar 5, 2026

Incorrect authorization in OpenClaw before 2026.2.2 allows remote authenticated users to approve or deny pending exec requests. The /approve chat handler forwards exec.approval.resolve through an internal privileged Gateway client without enforcing the caller's operator.approvals scope. Exploitation requires an operator.write device token and a pending request; it can authorize the pending command or prevent its execution.
