CVE-2026-28458Network attack vector

Cross-tab compromise via unauthenticated CDP relay

Published Mar 5, 2026 · Updated Mar 5, 2026

Authentication bypass in OpenClaw 2026.1.20 and later, before 2026.2.1, allows remote attackers to control browser tabs. The Browser Relay /cdp WebSocket upgrade checks only that the TCP peer is loopback, accepting cross-origin browser requests without a shared secret. Exploitation requires the Chrome extension to be installed and active and a user to visit an untrusted site; successful access exposes session cookies and permits JavaScript execution in other tabs.
