CVE-2026-28450Network attack vector

Unauthenticated profile tampering via unguarded plugin routes

Published Mar 5, 2026 · Updated Mar 5, 2026

Missing authentication in OpenClaw before 2026.2.12 allows remote attackers to read and alter Nostr profiles through plugin HTTP routes. Gateway HTTP dispatch sends /api/channels/* requests to Nostr handlers without first applying gateway authentication, so GET, PUT, and import POST operations act on the requested account. Exploitation requires the optional Nostr plugin to be installed and enabled and the gateway HTTP port reachable beyond localhost; profile writes persist in gateway configuration and publish signed events with the bot key.
