Unauthorized agent dispatch via allowlist fallthrough
Published Mar 5, 2026 · Updated Mar 5, 2026
Improper authorization in OpenClaw 2026.1.29 through 2026.2.0 allows remote attackers to trigger agent dispatch through Twitch chat. The Twitch plugin's checkTwitchAccessControl() accepts allowlisted members but does not reject nonmembers, then defaults to allow when allowedRoles is unset or empty. Exploitation requires the optional Twitch plugin to be installed and enabled with allowFrom configured; mentioning the bot can invoke configured tools, generate responses, and consume resources.
