Path traversal in OpenClaw 2026.1.29-beta.1 through 2026.1.30 allows attackers to write files outside the extensions directory. The plugin installer derives its destination from the package.json name and joins an unscoped .. segment without rejecting a path outside the configured extensions root. Exploitation requires a victim to run openclaw plugins install on attacker-controlled content; the write can alter or disrupt files reachable by that process.
