Unauthenticated file disclosure via unsanitized gameName path
Published Mar 6, 2026 · Updated Mar 6, 2026
Path traversal in Talishar before commit 6be3871 allows remote attackers to read server files through the gameName parameter. ParseGamestate.php concatenates the unvalidated $_GET['gameName'] value into a ./Games//gamestate.txt path and reads it directly. Direct network access to the standalone script requires no authentication, and traversal is limited by the server account's file permissions and the expected gamestate.txt suffix.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
