Authenticated service crash via unbounded testdata points
Published Mar 27, 2026 · Updated Mar 27, 2026
Uncontrolled resource consumption in affected Grafana releases allows remote authenticated users to crash the server via testdata queries. Testdata log, random-walk table, and simulation handlers trust requested line or point counts and allocate data without an upper bound. Low-privileged access is sufficient, and exhausting process memory terminates Grafana availability without disclosing or altering data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=v12.0.0 <v12.1.10
