Approval bypass via abbreviated GNU sort options
Published Feb 27, 2026 · Updated Feb 27, 2026
Command injection in OpenClaw before 2026.2.23 allows remote authenticated users to execute programs without approval through sort. The tools.exec.safeBins sort profile matched denied long options only as exact strings and accepted unknown inline-valued abbreviations. Reachability requires allowlist security, ask-on-miss approval, and sort in safeBins; successful use runs an external program as the OpenClaw process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
