Unauthenticated metadata access and modification via unprotected API
Published Feb 27, 2026 · Updated Feb 27, 2026
Missing authentication in CERN Indico before 3.3.11 allows remote attackers to read or alter event-series metadata through its management API. RHEventSeries inherited from the unprotected RH base class, so GET, POST, PATCH, and DELETE handlers accepted requests without checking a session user or event-management rights. No account or user interaction is required; exposure is limited to series metadata and links, not event contents or user-visible event data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
