Resource exhaustion in OliveTin before 3000.10.2 allows remote attackers to crash the service via concurrent password-hash requests. The unauthenticated PasswordHash handler starts a memory-intensive hash for every supplied password without throttling, concurrency controls, or resource caps. Parallel network requests can consume gigabytes of container memory and terminate the service; reverse-proxy rate limiting reduces exposure.
