Uncontrolled resource consumption in SolarWinds Serv-U 15.5.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to crash the service via a crafted POST request. The HTTP request handler processes a deflate-encoded POST body without adequately controlling resource consumption, terminating the Serv-U service. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the documented consequence is a service crash rather than data access or modification.
