Session theft via same-origin HTML uploads
Published Feb 26, 2026 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Stored XSS in Morelitea Initiative before 0.32.4 allows remote authenticated users to read session data through uploaded HTML. The document upload path accepts HTML files and serves them from the application origin without sandboxing, so embedded JavaScript runs in a viewer's session. The attack requires document-upload permission and a user opening the hosted file; it exposes cookies and browser storage and enables actions as the victim.
