Service credential disclosure via decryptable configuration secrets
Published Mar 12, 2026 · Updated Mar 12, 2026
Hard-coded credentials in Trane Tracer SC before 4.4 SP7 and Tracer SC+ and Tracer Concierge before 6.3.2310 allow attackers to expose service secrets. A configuration file stores globally shared remote-service credentials encrypted with device-embedded key material, allowing recovery as cleartext. Exploitation requires access to the controller filesystem or configuration data; recovered credentials enable account takeover on connected Trane services.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
