Master compromise via callable and RBAC context injection
Published Jul 20, 2026 · Updated Jul 20, 2026
Unsafe deserialization and authorization bypass in Wazuh before 4.14.5 allow remote authenticated users to compromise the master node. The Cluster DAPI as_wazuh_object handler imports and resolves a client-selected wazuh or api callable, while run_local trusts client-supplied rbac_permissions as the global authorization context. Access requires the shared cluster key and reachability to the master cluster port; a successful request can write files, create API users, alter security configuration, and take over the manager.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
