Path traversal in Spring Data Geode snapshot import allows attackers to write files outside the extraction directory on Windows. The filename sanitizer strips directory components using the platform-native separator, but Windows uses backslashes while ZIP entries use forward slashes, leaving ../ sequences intact. Exploitation requires a Windows-hosted application to import an attacker-controlled ZIP or JAR with write access to the target path; successful use overwrites application-accessible files.
