Insecure snapshot import in Spring Data Geode 2.0.0.RELEASE through 2.7.18 allows local users to read extracted cache data. The same flaw affects Spring Data GemFire 1.7.0.RELEASE through 2.2.13.RELEASE: ZIP or JAR snapshots expand into predictable, typically world-readable system-temp directories and remain after import. Exploitation requires low-privilege access on the same shared host while an affected application imports archive-based snapshots.
