Authentication rate-limit bypass in SysAdmins Media HomeBox before 0.24.0 allows remote attackers to evade login-attempt throttling. The authRateLimiter trusts X-Real-IP and X-Forwarded-For unconditionally, while middleware.RealIP replaces the connection address with that input. Direct API exposure without external rate limiting lets attackers make unlimited password guesses against any account.
