Authenticated RCE via unsandboxed Jinja2 evaluator templates
Published Feb 26, 2026 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Server-side template injection in Agenta before 0.86.8 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through evaluator templates. The _format_with_template methods pass attacker-controlled content to Jinja2 Template(content).render() without a sandbox. Any authenticated platform user can reach the path by selecting the jinja2 template format, gaining the API container's filesystem, environment, and secret access.
