Memory corruption via incorrect GMP boundary conditions
Published Feb 24, 2026 · Updated Feb 24, 2026
An incorrect boundary condition in Mozilla Firefox before 148 and Thunderbird before 148 allows remote attackers to corrupt memory. The flaw is in the Audio/Video GMP component, but Mozilla's public advisory and restricted bug record do not disclose the faulty boundary check or input operation. Firefox ESR before 115.33 or 140.8 and the Thunderbird 140 ESR line before 140.8 are also affected; public evidence does not establish code execution.
