CVE-2026-27879Network attack vector

Authenticated service crash via unbounded resampling

Published Mar 27, 2026 · Updated Mar 27, 2026

Uncontrolled resource consumption in Grafana allows remote authenticated users to crash the server by submitting a crafted resample query. Series.Resample in pkg/expr/mathexp derives a new series length from the supplied time range and interval, then allocates that series without enforcing a maximum. Access capable of executing server-side expressions is required; exploitation exhausts process memory and interrupts service without reported data disclosure or modification.
