Published Feb 24, 2026 · Updated Feb 24, 2026
DOM use-after-free in Firefox and Thunderbird before 148 allows remote attackers to corrupt process memory through web content. Mozilla has not disclosed which Window or Location reference remains usable after its backing object is freed, so the concrete triggering operation is unavailable. Firefox ESR before 115.33 and Firefox ESR 128.0 through 140.7, plus Thunderbird before 140.8, are affected; user interaction is required.
