Authenticated restart via uncaught diagnostic-interface exception
Published Jul 7, 2026 · Updated Jul 7, 2026
Uncaught exception in Gallagher Controller 6000 and Controller 7000 diagnostic web interface allows remote authenticated users to restart controllers. Specific requests to the diagnostic interface raise an exception that is not caught, causing the controller to restart and temporarily interrupt service. Exploitation requires an authorized operator and an enabled diagnostic web page, which Gallagher states is disabled by default; the bounded impact is a temporary controller restart.
