Cross-user workout disclosure via unfiltered API querysets
Published Feb 26, 2026 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Broken object-level authorization in wger 2.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read other users' workout configurations. RepetitionsConfigViewSet and MaxRepetitionsConfigViewSet call all() for their querysets instead of filtering records to the requesting account. Any registered account can call either REST endpoint and enumerate repetition settings across the instance; registration is enabled by default.
