Administrator SQL execution via unescaped filter concatenation
Published Apr 3, 2026 · Updated Apr 3, 2026
SQL injection in Piwigo before 16.3.0 allows remote authenticated administrators to execute arbitrary SQL through pwg.users.getList. The ws_users_getList() function in include/ws_functions/pwg.users.php inserts the filter parameter directly into a group-name LIKE query without escaping it. Administrator access is required; successful queries can read, alter, or delete gallery database contents and interrupt database service.
