Unauthorized collection management via unchecked manage flag
Published Mar 4, 2026 · Updated Mar 4, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Vaultwarden before 1.35.4 allows remote authenticated users to alter assignments or delete accessible collections. The collection update, user-assignment, and deletion routes treat collection access as management authority without enforcing the per-collection manage flag. A Manager with manage=false must already have access to a target collection, but can change its configuration and membership or remove it.
