Out-of-bounds heap reads via truncated DJVU stride
Published Feb 25, 2026 · Updated Feb 25, 2026
Heap buffer over-read in ImageMagick 6 before 6.9.13-40 and 7 before 7.1.2-15 allows attackers to read beyond a heap allocation via crafted DJVU input. In coders/djvu.c, get_page_image stores the computed row stride in a signed int, permitting truncation before AcquireQuantumMemory sizes the pixel buffer. The condition requires crafted dimensions that overflow the signed 32-bit stride during local image processing, leaving the operation exposed to an out-of-bounds heap read.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
