Browser script execution via unsanitized post content
Published Feb 23, 2026 · Updated Feb 23, 2026
Stored XSS in Bludit 3.16.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in visitors' browsers through post content. The post editor relies on client-side sanitation, while the server stores the content parameter and later renders it without equivalent sanitation or output encoding. An authenticated account must create the post and another user must view it, exposing that viewer's session and permitting actions within that viewer's privileges.
