Cross-workspace asset modification via unscoped UUID lookup
Published Feb 25, 2026 · Updated Feb 25, 2026
IDOR in Plane before 1.2.2 allows remote authenticated users to modify asset metadata across workspaces via crafted asset UUIDs. ProjectAssetEndpoint.patch() loads FileAsset records globally by pk instead of constraining the query to the workspace and project in the URL. Even GUEST-role access is sufficient to alter attributes and mark another tenant's asset as uploaded, corrupting metadata without reading file contents.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
