CVE-2026-27693Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Export data spoofing via unescaped device names

Published May 5, 2026 · Updated May 5, 2026

XML injection in Traccar Server 6.11.1 through 6.12.x allows remote authenticated users to inject false locations into KML and GPX exports. KmlExportProvider and GpxExportProvider write device names directly between XML name tags without entity encoding, turning XML metacharacters into document structure. Exploitation requires low-privileged device creation and another user to export and open shared device data; it can falsify locations or break parsing, with no direct confidentiality impact reported.
