SYSTEM code execution via permissive install-directory permissions
Published Feb 27, 2026 · Updated Feb 27, 2026
Incorrect default permissions in Soliton Windows product installers allow local users to execute arbitrary code with SYSTEM privileges. For a nondefault installation path, the installer applies overly broad file-access permissions, but Soliton has not identified the affected file or ACL entry. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access and user interaction on a Windows host; successful abuse compromises the host.
