Client command execution via unescaped CSV fields
Published May 5, 2026 · Updated May 5, 2026
CSV formula injection in Traccar Server 6.11.1 and later before 6.13.0 allows remote authenticated users to plant formulas in position exports. CsvExportProvider converts address, device-attribute, and computed-attribute values to strings and joins them with commas without escaping formula prefixes. Exploitation requires shared device access and a manager or administrator to export and open the CSV in spreadsheet software, enabling client-side command execution or data exfiltration.
