CVE-2026-27629

Server code execution via staff-editable Jinja2 templates

Published Feb 25, 2026 · Updated Feb 25, 2026

Server-side template injection in InvenTree before 1.2.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute server code through its API. The STOCK_BATCH_CODE_TEMPLATE and PART_NAME_FORMAT settings feed staff-editable Jinja2 expressions into an unsandboxed renderer. A staff user must first save a malicious template; a later batch-code API request executes it in the requesting user's context, exposing data or running code.
