Authenticated cross-app data compromise via unchecked agent endpoint
Published Feb 25, 2026 · Updated Feb 25, 2026
Missing authorization in Parse Dashboard 7.3.0-alpha.42 through 9.0.0-alpha.7 allows remote authenticated users to alter other apps. The POST /apps/:appId/agent handler accepts a caller-selected app ID without verifying app scope, and it gives read-only users the full master key while honoring requested write permissions. Exploitation requires a dashboard account and enabled agent configuration; it exposes other apps' data to reading, writing, and deletion without interrupting service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
