CVE-2026-27605Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Account takeover via unchecked project-logo upload

Published Mar 6, 2026 · Updated Mar 6, 2026

Stored XSS in Chartbrew before 4.8.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through uploaded project-logo files. The project-logo upload API trusts the submitted filename extension, stores unchecked content under uploads/, and serves an uploaded HTML file from the application origin. Low-privileged access is required to upload the file, and a victim must open its URL; script execution can read browser-stored tokens and take over the victim's account.
