Unauthenticated admin API access via unthrown exception
Published Jun 23, 2026 · Updated Jun 23, 2026
Authorization bypass in FOSSBilling 0.5.4 through 0.7.2 allows remote attackers to invoke privileged admin API methods without credentials. In src/modules/Api/Controller/Client.php, disallowed roles instantiate an exception without throwing it, so the system role proceeds to getCronAdmin(). No credentials, session, or CSRF token are required; exposed instances permit reading or modifying billing and client data and generating a cron admin API token.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
