Account takeover via unsanitized workflow page fields
Published Feb 25, 2026 · Updated Feb 25, 2026
Stored XSS in n8n before 1.123.22, 2.0.0 through 2.9.2, and 2.10.0 allows remote authenticated users to hijack visiting accounts. Multiple workflow nodes render attacker-controlled fields into Form, Chat, Send and Wait, or Webhook pages without consistently sanitizing script-capable content. Workflow creation or editing permission is required, and execution occurs when another user visits the crafted page, exposing that user's session to account takeover.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
