Sandbox escape in n8n before 1.123.22, 2.0.0 through 2.9.2, and 2.10.0 allows remote authenticated users to read host files or execute code. The Python Code node sandbox permits crafted workflow code to reach built-in Python objects that expose host resources beyond its intended isolation boundary. Exploitation requires workflow creation or editing rights and enabled Task Runners; internal runners expose the n8n host, while external runners confine impact to the runner environment.
