CVE-2026-27485

Local file disclosure via symlink-following skill packaging

Published Feb 21, 2026 · Updated Feb 21, 2026

Symlink following in OpenClaw 2026.2.17 and earlier allows attackers to copy local files into generated skill archives. The package_skill.py helper recursively walks a skill directory and passes linked file paths to zipfile.write without rejecting symlinks, so their targets are archived. Exploitation requires an author to run the local packaging script on attacker-controlled skill contents; normal gateway and chat paths cannot trigger it.
