Authenticated SQL injection via stored event fields
Published Feb 21, 2026 · Updated Feb 21, 2026
Second-order SQL injection in ZoneMinder 1.36.37 and earlier and 1.37.61 through 1.38.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute SQL. The getNearEvents() function in web/ajax/status.php retrieves attacker-controlled Name or Cause values from Events and concatenates them unescaped into SQL WHERE clauses. Exploitation requires authentication plus Events edit and view permissions and permits database reads or writes within the ZoneMinder security scope.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
