Hidden revision disclosure via unchecked post rollback
Published Mar 19, 2026 · Updated Mar 19, 2026
Missing authorization in Discourse before 2026.3.0-latest.1, 2026.2.1, and 2026.1.2 allows remote attackers to read hidden post revisions. The display_post method passes an attacker-selected version to post.revert_to without first verifying revision visibility or edit-history permission. No account is required; an attacker who identifies a post ID can enumerate versions and recover staff-hidden revision content without write access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
