CVE-2026-27442Network attack vector

Authenticated file access via unchecked attachment filenames

Published Mar 4, 2026 · Updated Mar 4, 2026

Path traversal in SEPPmail Secure Email Gateway before 15.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to access gateway files through GINA. The GINA zip-attachment path accepts an attachment filename without ensuring that its resolved path remains within the intended attachment location. Reachability requires low-privileged GINA access to an encrypted message; disclosed evidence establishes file access but not code execution or public exploitation.
