Remote command execution via PDF password
Published Mar 4, 2026 · Updated Mar 4, 2026
OS command injection in SEPPmail Secure Email Gateway before 15.0.1 allows remote attackers to execute commands via a PDF encryption password. The PDF-processing path incorporates the attacker-controlled encryption password into an operating-system command without neutralizing command elements. Exploitation requires a network-reachable gateway to process the crafted password, after which commands execute in the gateway's operating-system context.
