Unauthenticated session creation via reserved path mismatch
Published Mar 10, 2026 · Updated Mar 10, 2026
Authentication bypass in affected Vaadin Flow versions allows remote attackers to create sessions through the reserved /VAADIN path. BootstrapHandler and IndexHtmlRequestHandler process that path without a trailing slash instead of rejecting it, bypassing the security filter's path match. The behavior requires Spring Security integration and grants framework initialization and session creation, with no reported access to application data or functions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=14.0.0 <=14.14.0
- Affected versionversion=23.0.0 <=23.6.6
